What is Figure Drawing?

Definition

A drawing of the human form in various postures and shapes using any drawing media.

I personally believe figure drawing is the best way to perfect drawing the human anatomy. Drawing from life takes years of practice, and drawing in front of a model for several hours doesn't make it much easier. These pieces are the building blocks in which betters me as an artist.
